About the role#
The Law Clerk Intern program provides students with exposure to civil litigation matters. Interns work alongside attorneys and paralegals on cases involving insurance, personal injury, and general litigation. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in various stages of the litigation process while receiving mentorship and constructive feedback from legal professionals.
What you'll do#
- Assist attorneys with drafting discovery responses and reporting to claims.
- Prepare for mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings.
- Draft pleadings and gather necessary documents and information.
- Perform legal research as required.
- Work independently or as part of a team to process case closures and connect with clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 2nd or 3rd year law student in an ABA-approved law school (or 4th year if in a part-time or JD/MBA program).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance law.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective professional relationships.
- Self-directed work style with the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision.

- Location: Cerritos, California.
- Modality: Hybrid (may require 2-3 days per week in the office).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: $30.00 per hour.
- Employment type: Full-time, paid internship.
