About the role#
Keating is seeking a Wealth Management Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This program provides practical, hands-on experience in financial advising by supporting advisor teams and client service workflows. You will work in an office environment in Manhattan, Kansas, gaining exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of financial planning. This is a full-time, paid position intended for students who want to develop their skills in a professional advisory setting.
What you'll do#
- Support advisors with client meeting preparation and follow-up tasks.
- Gather and organize financial information and documentation.
- Build and update financial plans using specialized software.
- Prepare presentation materials and deliverables for clients.
- Participate in mock client meetings and assist with educational discussions under supervision.
- Prepare client reporting materials and conduct market research.
- Assist with audits and data analysis projects.
- Collaborate with advisor teams across the organization.
- Build relationships with professionals and community members.
- Recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Junior standing or higher, currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or minor in Finance, Business Administration, Financial Planning, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Personal drive, coachability, and a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- Strategic sales coursework or business development experience is preferred.
