The Software Engineer (Gameplay) Co-op will focus on building gameplay features and mechanics while creating tools to support designer and artist workflows. You will work alongside engineers to maintain code quality and improve content creation pipelines for game teams. This is a 4-month co-op term from September to December 2026.
What you'll do#
- Write, test, and maintain code following established coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members, participate in code reviews, and adhere to development processes.
- Debug and solve software issues using standard practices.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation for code and project materials.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to team members and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently in your 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Solid understanding of Java, C#, Node.js, or C++.
- Experience working in Unity or similar game engines.
- Ability to write clean, simple, and well-documented code based on design requirements.
- Exposure to Android or iOS mobile application development.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Work Modality: Fully on-site.
- Commitment: Fall 2026 term (September to December).
