About the role#
JX Truck Center is hiring a Service Department Intern in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is a part-time apprentice role designed for students. We offer a flexible shift to accommodate your school or summer schedule.
What you'll do#
- Keep the shop clean by maintaining bays and emptying garbage.
- Bring parts to shop technicians to help them work efficiently.
- Move trucks into and out of the shop as directed by the Service Advisor.
- Interact with customers in a diplomatic and courteous way.
- Assist with tasks that improve overall technician proficiency.
What you'll need#
- General mechanical knowledge or aptitude.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering program.

- Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan.

- Compensation: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
