About the role#
JX Truck Center is hiring a Service Department Intern in Kalamazoo. This is a part-time apprentice program for students. We offer a flexible shift to work around your summer and school schedule. You will assist with daily shop operations under the direction of the Service Manager.
What you'll do#
- Maintain shop cleanliness by cleaning bays and emptying garbage.
- Deliver parts to technicians.
- Move trucks into and out of the shop as directed by the Service Advisor.
- Interact with customers in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
- Assist with tasks that increase technician proficiency and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- General mechanical knowledge or aptitude.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Kalamazoo, MI.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- This is a paid, part-time position.
