About the role#
AI systems now build financial models and generate investment research. However, complex financial decisions still require the professional judgment of finance experts. We are looking for MBA students with professional experience in fields like FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Corporate Finance to help us test the limits of frontier AI models. You will help us identify weaknesses in these systems and improve their financial reasoning capabilities.
What you'll do#
- Design expert-level financial research and analysis tasks based on real-world investment workflows.
- Create complex financial modeling challenges, including DCF valuations, LBOs, three-statement models, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Develop realistic FP&A problems covering revenue forecasting, budget variance analysis, cash flow planning, unit economics, and business performance evaluation.
- Build investment research scenarios involving M&A, company valuation, market analysis, due diligence, and capital allocation.
- Design multi-stage problems that require interpreting incomplete data and making defensible financial judgments.
- Evaluate AI model performance by identifying weaknesses in their calculations, assumptions, and analytical approaches.
- Develop expert solutions and scoring benchmarks to measure how well AI models perform on these tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Top 25 MBA program, preferably with a concentration in Finance, Investments, or Corporate Strategy.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in roles such as Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Funds, Asset Management, Equity Research, or FP&A.
- A strong understanding of financial statement analysis, forecasting, company valuation, and investment research.
- Proficiency in Excel modeling and tools like Capital IQ, Bloomberg, FactSet, PitchBook, or financial planning software.
- Excellent quantitative reasoning, clear written communication, and high attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in artificial intelligence, large language models, and their applications in financial services.
- Previous experience at a leading investment bank, private equity firm, venture capital fund, hedge fund, Fortune 500 finance team, or high-growth technology company is a plus.
