About the role#
Jones Edmunds is looking for an Engineer Intern to join our team. You will work alongside experienced engineers on projects that improve communities and protect natural resources. This role offers hands-on experience in engineering design, analysis, permitting, and project delivery.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering design and modeling tasks on various projects.
- Assist with permit applications and support CAD and GIS work.
- Research, collect, and compile technical data to assist with engineering analyses.
- Evaluate engineering information to identify discrepancies in data and results.
- Help prepare technical reports, studies, calculations, and memoranda.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Registered Engineer Intern (EI) status.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- One year of internship experience is preferred.
- A Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
Location & details#
- Locations: Alachua, Tampa, or Jacksonville, Florida.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- We offer a hybrid work schedule with optional remote work on Thursdays and Fridays.
- We do not provide work visa sponsorship for this position.
- Employment is contingent upon passing a background investigation, drug screen, and motor vehicle report.
