Part-Time Student - Factory Engineering

About the role#

This is a year-round, part-time student position based at the John Deere Harvester Works facility. The role is designed to support regular staff by integrating students into the factory engineering environment alongside their academic schedules.

What you'll do#

• Support CMM programming activities within production and product development environments.
• Perform dimensional analysis based on CMM program output.
• Troubleshoot CMM software programs, including coding and technical support for CMM machines.
• Contribute to process and program improvement initiatives.
• Assist with quality services processes and project improvement efforts.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• A graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
• A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
• Availability to work 16-20 hours per week during the academic year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer semester.
• Ability to commute to East Moline, Illinois, on a daily basis.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
