About the role#
The Student Accounts Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Student Accounts team. This role helps with document management, account reviews, and campus outreach. You will gain experience in student financial services while handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy standards.
What you'll do#
- Scan and organize incoming mail and documentation.
- Create PDF invoice packets and prepare supporting documentation.
- Review student account data for accuracy and escalate discrepancies to staff.
- Assist with adding MC holds and processing refund time outs.
- Verify original payment sources and log information.
- Communicate with campus personnel regarding reports and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate records and follow all FERPA and institutional privacy requirements.
What you'll need#
- Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
- Maintain aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress status.
- Enrollment in at least 1 credit hour of eligible courses.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate questions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfort working with confidential student and financial information.
- Ability to follow written procedures and maintain data accuracy.
