Northern Minnesota Manufactured Home Resident Organizing Fellow

About the role#

ISAIAH is seeking a Northern Minnesota Manufactured Home Resident Organizing Fellow to build leadership and shared power across race, class, and geography. This is a full-time, 6-month temporary position based in Duluth. The fellow will work with staff organizers to develop racial, economic, and climate justice campaigns, with a primary focus on the Save Our Homes Campaign. This role requires flexibility, as meetings and events frequently occur during evenings and weekends.

What you'll do#

• Run a petition drive and conduct doorknocking to build relationships and support for the Manufactured Home Residents Bill of Rights.
• Host community conversations, including information sessions, candidate forums, and engagement sessions.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with residents to identify and cultivate potential leaders.
• Develop, lead, and coach teams of resident leaders to advance campaign goals.
• Facilitate strategy meetings and trainings for community members.
• Develop voter education and engagement campaigns to support endorsed champions.
• Participate in weekly development sessions and attend organizing and narrative building training.

What you'll need#

• Strong work ethic, integrity, and the ability to persevere through challenging work.
• Ability to independently set goals and guide daily actions.
• Excellent listening skills with the ability to establish rapport across diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and WhatsApp.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable car.
• Experience in or an interest in majors such as Political Science, Sociology, Human Resources, Public Health, or Business Administration.
