    About the role#

    Intrepid Potash offers summer internships for students looking to gain hands-on experience in the mining industry. You will work on projects that contribute directly to our operations and strategic business objectives. You will collaborate with professionals across various departments including operations, engineering, environmental, health and safety, and quality.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program related to the internship area, such as chemical or industrial engineering.
    • Strong academic performance.
    • Ability to solve problems and communicate effectively with a team.
    • Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new things.
    • Capacity to work independently and as part of a group in a professional setting.

    Location & details#

    • Locations: Denver, Colorado; Moab, Utah; Wendover, Utah; and Carlsbad, New Mexico.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
    • Pay: $25 to $35 per hour.
    • Housing and relocation assistance may be available in some cases.

    Intrepid Potash is a mining company based in Denver, Colorado. Founded in 2000, the firm produces potassium, magnesium, sulfur, and salt for the agriculture, animal feed, and oil and gas industries. It operates three solar evaporation mines in Utah and New Mexico, alongside an underground mine in Carlsbad that extracts langbeinite. The company employs between 201 and 500 people.
