    About the role#

    The Community Engagement Intern supports the Community Engagement Coordinator with outreach, event planning, and donor relations. This role helps maintain the in-kind contributions program and assists with various communication tasks to support IRC offices in Richmond and Charlottesville.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with outreach to current and potential program partners.
    • Manage outreach efforts, track progress, and quantify results.
    • Provide support for special events and research community engagement opportunities.
    • Contribute to IRC social media accounts, newsletters, and presentation materials.
    • Manage the in-kind contributions program, including donation drives, inventory tracking, and fulfilling client requests.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or a recent graduate.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience with data entry and database management.
    • Familiarity with graphic design and video editing software like Canva.
    • Interest in learning about the Greater Richmond community.
    • Relevant majors include Communications, Human Resources, Graphic Design, Business Administration, or Sociology.
