About the role#
The Graphics Research Organization at Intel is looking for a Research Scientist Intern. You will work on real-time 3D rendering, machine learning, and parallel algorithms. This role allows you to contribute to graphics hardware and software products while producing research for industry and academic publications.

What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program for Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field focusing on computer graphics and machine learning.
- At least 1 year of experience in modern C/C++ and Python programming.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- Understanding of advanced graphics techniques such as ray tracing, rasterization, physically based rendering, light transport, sampling, acceleration structures, shading, and Monte Carlo methods.
- Experience with graphics APIs like OpenGL, Vulkan, or DirectX, and shading languages such as GLSL or HLSL.
- Proficiency in GPGPU programming with CUDA, SYCL, or OpenCL.
Preferred qualifications include publications in top-tier conferences or journals, a foundation in linear algebra and numerical optimization, and experience with image processing or computer vision. We also value familiarity with vision transformer models, neural rendering applications, GPU architectures, and performance analysis tools.
