About the role#
Intel is looking for interns to join the Platform Hardware and Systems Engineering team for the Spring and Summer 2027 terms. You will work alongside engineers and technical leaders to contribute to real-world projects. This role involves seeing the technology lifecycle in action, from research and design to manufacturing and deployment.
What you'll do#
- Perform hardware and systems architecture, design, and integration tasks.
- Handle platform validation, debug, and performance optimization.
- Work on power, thermal, and signal integrity engineering.
- Develop programming, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Collaborate across functions to advance platform capabilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree or PhD program in a STEM field, such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics.
- At least 3 months of experience through coursework, academic projects, research, or previous internships.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset for team-based work.

- Locations: Hillsboro, Oregon; Folsom, California; Santa Clara, California; Austin, Texas; and Phoenix, Arizona.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full-time internship.
