About the role#
Join the Intel Foundry team as a Data Science and Analytics PhD Intern. You will work within the LTD Device PDK and Product team to analyze large datasets. Your work will help uncover patterns and trends to support business objectives. You will gain practical experience through hands-on projects that contribute to semiconductor innovation.
What you'll do#
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to find actionable insights.
- Build predictive models, dashboards, and visualizations to improve user experience.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers on data-driven projects.
- Apply statistical techniques and programming to support decision-making processes.
- Participate in learning opportunities directly tied to business goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related semiconductor field.
- 0-1 years of experience in data analytics or programming through internships, coursework, or academic projects.
- At least 6 months of experience in semiconductor materials, fabrication, and device physics.
- At least 6 months of experience in electrical characterization of semiconductor devices.
- Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes Advanced Transistor Device Structures, process monitoring, test structure design, device simulation, and DOE or SPC principles.
- Technical expertise in JMP, MATLAB, Octave, Python, SQL, C/C++, JSL, Perl, or TCL.
- Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, RAG, and orchestrated LLM workflows.
