About the role#
Intandem is looking for an IT Technician Intern to support our agency technology needs. You will work on-site in Olean, New York, helping maintain our networking and telecommunication hardware. This is an unpaid, part-time position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Install and maintain networking and telecommunication hardware and programs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users on software and equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application problems alongside the IT team.
- Interpret technical manuals and apply that information to solve issues.
- Explain technical concepts to non-technical staff members.
- Provide formal and informal instruction on how to use new applications.
- Follow instructions from your supervisor to resolve concerns.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of a combination of related experience, training, and education.
- Experience working with Windows operating systems and applications.
- A valid driver license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- An associate degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science program.
