Intern - Software Development

About the role#

As a Software Development Intern at Insuresoft, you will contribute to real software projects used by actual customers. This role focuses on bridging the gap between business needs and technology, providing hands-on experience in how enterprise software is built, tested, and released.

What you'll do#

• Create, maintain, and debug automated test cases across multiple environments and customer platforms.
• Develop carrier, agency, and consumer web applications based on project specifications, with guidance from full-time developers.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including .NET Developers, Database Developers, QA, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
• Build a working knowledge of Insuresoft’s products, configurability options, and release schedules.
• Use internal defect tracking tools to manage projects and tasks.
• Learn how your contributions fit into the company's broader business goals.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a B.A. or B.S. program in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to reason logically and propose effective solutions.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to deliver work under established deadlines.
