About the role#
InsCipher is looking for an Accountant Intern to join our team in Pleasant Grove, Utah. This is a paid, part-time position that offers a rolling start date. You will work on-site under the direction of our Financial Analyst to support our core accounting operations.
What you'll do#
- Process business transactions and record data.
- Handle account reconciliations, including monthly bank statements, carrier payments, customer receipts, and company credit cards.
- Create internal and external financial reports.
- Communicate with policyholders regarding refund issues.
- Collaborate with management to define departmental goals and manage financial deadlines.
- Interpret financial data to identify trends and present findings to management.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare payments to carriers by verifying documentation.
- Develop and enforce budgets, policies, and internal controls.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or currently working toward one.
- Up to 2 years of accounting experience.
- A solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage your time well and solve problems independently.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

- Compensation: $20/hr.
