About the role#
Innovative Chemical Products Group is hiring a Territory Sales Manager to represent our roof, driveway, and diversified coatings brands. You will work with independent retailers and distributor partners to increase sales and grow our footprint in the Midwest. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chicago, Illinois.
What you'll do#
- Act as the primary point of contact for direct buying customers and key influencers.
- Develop and execute a written business development plan for your assigned markets.
- Travel throughout the territory as needed, which includes overnight travel up to 50% of the time.
- Conduct live product demonstrations, remote learning sessions, and educational presentations to train customers.
- Analyze sales reports to uncover new market opportunities.
- Manage account activities, including A/R support, project proformas, and coordination with the technical services department.
- Prospect for new business and interact with multi-level business leaders.
- Attend and work customer events, demo days, and trade shows.
What you'll need#
- A proven sales track record focused on new business generation.
- Experience in architectural or technical coatings and building materials.
- Strong verbal communication, presentation, and training skills.
- Ability to work independently with new and existing clients to address sales objections.
- Experience reading and writing project specifications.
- A degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
