About the role#
As a UX Design Intern, you will join our product team to help make complex data access and governance workflows easier to understand. You will work alongside designers, product managers, and engineers to connect customer needs to product functionality. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Explore user problems through research, conversations, workshops, and discovery activities.
- Turn insights into concepts, user flows, mockups, and prototypes.
- Use design tools to communicate ideas, explain your decisions, and gather feedback.
- Work with engineers and product teammates to understand constraints and shape solutions.
- Participate in storyboarding, journey mapping, user interviews, and design critiques.
- Use front-end skills to prototype or communicate experiences across responsive and mobile interfaces.
- Share your work, explain your thinking, and incorporate feedback from the team.
What you'll need#
- A portfolio showing design work, prototypes, research, or relevant projects.
- Strong ability in at least one of these areas: visual design, user research, or front-end development.
- Curiosity about users, products, and how technology solves problems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Comfort receiving and applying feedback to your work.

- This is a hybrid role based in College Park, MD, Columbus, OH, or Boston, MA.
- This is a full-time Summer 2027 internship.
