    About the role#

    This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Melbourne, Florida. You will work alongside experienced engineers and consultants on project analysis, design, field inspections, and report writing. The program lasts 10 to 12 weeks and provides hands-on experience across education, corporate, and commercial markets.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with civil design tasks following code and company standards.
    • Coordinate design schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and technology teams.
    • Document design decisions, meeting notes, and client instructions.
    • Review project documents for accuracy and completeness.
    • Research resources for commercially available equipment.
    • Prepare and issue addendum information.
    • Conduct periodic job site observations.
    • Perform field duties such as surveying and materials testing.
    • Manage client relations and maintain project design notebooks.

    What you'll need#

    • Completed at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and BIM.
    • Clear oral and written communication skills.
    • Prior internship experience in building design consulting is preferred.
