Writer Intern

About the role#

Ideas United is seeking a Writer Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a creative studio environment, working alongside in-house creatives to support various projects. This is a paid, part-time, on-site position based in Atlanta, Georgia.

What you'll do#

• Learn the roles and responsibilities of each team within the company.
• Work closely with an intern manager who will guide and assign tasks.
• Develop scripts, campaign materials, social content, and pitch presentations.
• Edit copy for grammar, clarity, structure, and house style.
• Perform coordinator tasks for projects and participate in project brainstorms.
• Shadow projects to gain knowledge of the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on internal projects and assignments.

What you'll need#

• A strong desire to learn about the creative industry and a passion for exploring new topics, people, and organizations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong storytelling instinct and a sharp editorial eye.
• The ability to receive and act on feedback.
• An enthusiastic demeanor and a connection to the company mission.
• Availability to work during the entire summer program.

• Location: Atlanta, Georgia (On-site)
• Term: Summer 2026 (May 19th to August 8th)
• Commitment: 20-25 hours per week
• Compensation: $16.50/hr
• Majors: Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Media Studies, or Marketing
