Design Intern

About the role#

Ideas United is seeking a Design Intern for the Summer 2026 program. This internship offers hands-on experience within a creative agency, focusing on the intersection of imagination, strategy, and execution. Interns will develop skills across campaign materials, social content, and pitch presentations while learning to apply design thinking to human-centered projects.

What you'll do#

• Learn the roles and responsibilities of various teams within the organization.
• Work closely with an intern manager who will guide and assign tasks.
• Shadow projects to gain knowledge of the full project lifecycle.
• Attend meetings and participate in project brainstorms.
• Assist in pitch presentations by compiling reference media and editing layouts.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on internal projects and present designs to stakeholders.
• Provide creative support for day-to-day operations under the guidance of design leads.
• Develop concepts, campaign materials, and social content.

What you'll need#

• Passion for learning about the creative industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
• Availability to work for the entire summer program.
• Experience with web-based prototyping tools like Figma or XD is preferred but not required.
• Pursuing studies in Graphic Design, Art, or Media Studies.

Location & details#

• Location: Atlanta, Georgia (On-site).
• Term: Summer 2026 (May 19th to August 8th).
• Commitment: 20-25 hours per week.
• Compensation: $16.50 per hour.
