About the role#
Hyundai MOBIS is seeking a 3D Technical Artist for a rolling internship at our Plymouth, Michigan location. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position. We do not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
What you'll do#
- Create, optimize, and maintain real-time 3D assets for visualization, simulation, and synthetic data generation.
- Develop and support MetaHuman and digital human workflows.
- Assist with character rigging, animation, and facial animation workflows.
- Create PBR materials and textures for realistic assets and environments.
- Develop Python scripts and automation tools for content production pipelines.
- Support AI-assisted content creation and synthetic data generation projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and research teams.
- Document workflows, tools, and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Graphics, Game Development, Computer Science, Digital Media, Animation, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, MetaHuman, Blender, Python, 3D Animation, Rigging, PBR Texturing, Photogrammetry, AI Tools, and Real-Time Rendering.
- Familiarity with agile and version control tools like Jira and Git.
- A portfolio demonstrating projects in Unreal Engine, Blender, animation, or scripting.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- Attention to detail and a reliable mode of transportation.
