About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at Hytrol, you will join one of our specialized teams, including Design, R&D, Controls, Manufacturing, or Enterprise Improvement. You will work alongside industry professionals on real-world projects, contributing to the development and support of conveyor technology and material handling systems.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with design teams to develop conveyor systems and custom products.
- Engage in research activities to improve technologies.
- Conduct product testing to validate designs and ensure safety standards.
- Oversee project timelines and ensure milestones are met.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain detailed engineering documentation and technical drawings.
- Develop and configure control packages using PLCs.
- Design electrical panels containing hardware.
- Monitor material utilization and implement cost-saving projects.
- Design processes to enhance workflow and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Interest in material handling systems and conveyor technology.
- Ability to contribute to innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills for team and cross-departmental coordination.
