About the role#
Hybron is seeking an MBA student for a Summer 2027 Business Development Internship at our Hawthorne facility. You will work with our business development team, co-founders, and engineering staff to identify new opportunities, build customer relationships, and support strategic growth in U.S. and international markets. This role involves market strategy, government research, commercial analysis, and hands-on project execution. You will own a specific growth project and present your findings to leadership at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Research target customers, competitors, and markets across various applications.
- Qualify opportunities by identifying customer needs and alignment with our manufacturing capabilities.
- Support customer outreach by preparing materials, agendas, and briefings.
- Maintain the business development pipeline and track opportunity stages.
- Coordinate nondisclosure agreements and customer information requests.
- Work with engineering to organize technical inputs and development schedules.
- Identify government funding and contracting opportunities through SAM.gov.
- Prepare white papers, proposals, pitch decks, and customer presentations.
- Build pricing comparisons, market-sizing analyses, and business cases.
- Research potential partners, suppliers, and prime contractors.
- Support government relations by researching agency priorities and budgets.
- Help plan conferences, customer visits, and industry engagements.
- Coordinate customer requirements with engineering and operations teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master of Business Administration program.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to build clear business cases.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, partners, and government stakeholders.
- Initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
- Curiosity about technical products and manufacturing.
- Ability to translate engineering information into business value.
- U.S. Person status pursuant to EAR and ITAR definitions.

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Modality: This is an on-site position.
- Compensation: $35 per hour with a housing stipend available.
