About the role#
The Sales Intern role is a developmental position reporting to the Director of Sales. You will support Project Leaders and directors with daily administrative tasks and project maintenance. This role provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the automotive industry and the functions of Sales and Program Management within Hutchinson.
What you'll do#
- Assist Project Leaders with administrative maintenance and data entry.
- Track project progress and monitor the project timing plan.
- Send reminders for past due tasks and schedule team meetings or conference calls.
- Escalate project issues to the Project Leader when necessary.
- Track team activities at manufacturing facilities.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure sample parts arrive on time.
- Identify and manage project risks.
- Monitor tooling pictures and process tooling invoices.
- Attend cross-functional meetings.
- Study customer portals to support customer-specific processes.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree or recent graduation in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and some experience with Microsoft Project.
- Ability to solve problems independently and work with self-motivation.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- A willingness to learn products, internal processes, and customer requirements.
- Previous internship experience in Program Management or Engineering is preferred.
