About the role#
As a Water Civil Engineering Intern, you will work with experienced engineers on projects that help communities manage and protect their water resources. You will contribute to real-world infrastructure projects while gaining exposure to water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. This program is designed to help you build technical skills and explore different areas of civil engineering to help shape your future career path.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, design, and analysis of water infrastructure projects.
- Assist with data collection, engineering calculations, modeling, drawings, reports, and project documentation.
- Gain exposure to stormwater and flood reduction, pipelines, pumping stations, treatment facilities, streams, and drainage systems.
- Participate in field visits and project meetings to see how designs move into the real world.
- Follow a structured intern learning curriculum.
- Connect with a mentor and experienced professionals.
- Participate in intern roundtables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Availability to work full time during the Summer 2027 program.
- Ability to participate in both office and field work.
