About the role#
As a Transportation Civil Engineering Intern, you will work with experienced engineers and designers on projects that help people move through their communities. You will contribute to the planning and design of infrastructure like roadways, highways, intersections, and bridges. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and design of transportation projects.
- Assist with engineering calculations, data collection, analysis, drawings, plans, and reports.
- Participate in field visits to understand existing site conditions.
- Visit active construction sites to see how designs translate into physical improvements.
- Work alongside teams to learn the project lifecycle from planning through construction.
- Participate in a structured learning program, including roundtables on engineering, consulting, and professional development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Availability to work full time in the office throughout Summer 2027.
- Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or OpenRoads is a plus, though not required.
- Interest in transportation design, traffic analysis, structures, or surveying.
