About the role#
As an Engineering Co-op in Hampton, you will work under the mentorship of a Process Engineer to learn the investment casting process for titanium components. This role focuses on gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing operations while contributing to process improvements and product development.
What you'll do#
- Develop new and refine existing investment casting processes to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs.
- Support manufacturing teams during the processing of castings across all operations.
- Collaborate with customers to design components for castability.
- Maintain and improve casting scrap and rework rates.
- Develop and refine manufacturing work instructions.
- Assist in developing casting processes for new products and improve overall casting profitability.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Completion of at least 3 semesters of undergraduate education.
- A minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Participation in at least one extracurricular activity or prior work experience.
- Ability to provide documentation establishing identity and employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Ability to lawfully access export-controlled items.
- Preferred: Prior internship or work experience in manufacturing, specifically in casting or metal fabrication.
