Corporate Development Intern (Fall 2026)

About the role#

Houlihan Lokey is seeking a Corporate Development Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the Corporate Development team, which reports directly to the firm’s CEO and CFO. Interns will contribute to strategic and operational initiatives, gain exposure to global acquisition processes, and prepare analyses and presentations for senior management.

What you'll do#

• Assist the team with a broad range of acquisition-related activities and special projects.
• Support origination efforts by developing acquisition target searches and profiles, evaluating industry participants, and maintaining CRM databases.
• Aid in post-acquisition performance tracking by analyzing precedent transactions.
• Create reports for management to support deal execution.
• Develop and manage databases, processes, templates, and reports to improve efficiency and productivity for acquisitions and strategic projects.

What you'll need#

• Must be a junior or senior in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Previous professional internship experience is preferred.
• A desire to pursue a career in investment banking or finance.
• A basic understanding of financial modeling, analysis, and relevant accounting principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with PowerPoint and Word.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work as a self-starter.
