About the role#
The Business Intern in Operational Excellence supports a portfolio of enterprise-wide improvement projects at the Hospital for Special Surgery. This position offers exposure to healthcare operations, continuous improvement methodologies, and strategic project execution within a major hospital system. The internship lasts between 6 and 8 weeks depending on project needs and candidate availability.
What you'll do#
- Support projects focused on enhancing patient experience, clinical efficiency, and operational performance.
- Work directly with senior leaders, physicians, nurses, and administrative stakeholders.
- Translate data into insights and develop actionable strategies based on those findings.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Operations Management, or Data Science.
- No prior years of work experience are required or preferred for this role.
