About the role#
Hive Financial Systems is looking for a Product & Program Management Intern to support our platform rebuild. You will work with product managers and program leads to bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution. This role connects engineering, operations, compliance, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered effectively. You will own specific deliverables throughout the summer with guidance from a mentor.
What you'll do#
- Write product requirements and user stories with clear acceptance criteria for engineering and QA teams.
- Gather input from cross-functional teams like operations, underwriting, and compliance to inform product discovery.
- Manage work items in Jira, keep tickets updated, and track dependencies across teams.
- Coordinate releases and cross-team initiatives by maintaining timelines and status updates.
- Analyze operational and product data to measure the impact of shipped work.
- Create updates and presentations for team leads and leadership.
- Use AI tools to research and draft documentation, while verifying the accuracy of the output.
- Document processes and decisions to help the team maintain momentum.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising Junior or Senior in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to turn complex discussions into clear documentation.
- High level of organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools like Claude, Hex, or ChatGPT in projects or coursework.
- Curiosity about how software is built and a willingness to learn.
- Completion of a TestGorilla assessment is required for all candidates.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, SQL, or Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Prior leadership experience in student organizations or projects is a plus.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17th to July 30th).
