About the role#
Hill Country Transit District is looking for a Community Engagement Intern to support our marketing and outreach efforts. This role involves representing The HOP at public events and helping us connect with the community. You will work directly with our marketing team to gain experience in public relations and transit communications.
What you'll do#
- Represent The HOP at various community and campus events.
- Manage the setup and teardown of event booths, including tents, tables, and banners.
- Interact with attendees to promote our services and gather feedback.
- Collect engagement data and write post-event reports for the Marketing Director.
- Assist with social media content and other marketing materials.
- Help with ongoing outreach projects and act as a brand ambassador.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Marketing, Communications, or Business degree program.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to lift and move event equipment like boxes and banners.
- Strong communication skills and an outgoing personality.
- Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency with Canva, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and social media platforms.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid position based in Belton, Texas.
- The role is paid at up to $15 per hour.
- This is a part-time position, limited to 15 hours per week.
- You must have some availability to work during evenings and weekends for community events.
