    About the role#

    Haynes International offers paid, full-time summer internships for the 2027 season. These positions provide students with hands-on experience across various departments, including engineering, IT, legal, human resources, and sales. Interns work on-site at our facilities in Kokomo, Indiana, or Arcadia, Louisiana.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the marketing team by analyzing alloy properties and conducting market research.
    • Assist the Research & Technology team with mechanical testing, weldability testing, thermal-mechanical simulations, optical metallography, and SEM microstructure characterization.
    • Support Manufacturing Engineering with continuous improvement projects.
    • Write and modify code, debug issues, and document technical solutions within the IT department.
    • Assist the Plant Engineering Department with equipment troubleshooting, project management, and maintaining electrical and mechanical drawings on CAD systems.
    • Support the legal department with administrative tasks, policy updates, and research.
    • Help the HR department with records management, benefits administration, and policy execution.
    • Support corporate inside sales by focusing on sales development and process improvements.
    • Assist the EHS department with workplace safety inspections, hazard assessments, audits, incident investigations, and safety training initiatives.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Specific academic interests aligned with your chosen department, such as materials science, metallurgy, programming, manufacturing, law, or human resources.
    • For technical roles: understanding of core programming concepts, version control systems, SQL basics, PLC automation, hydraulics, or AutoCAD.
