The Project Management Co-Op role at Hargrove Engineers & Constructors involves assisting project managers with routine assignments under direct supervision. This position provides exposure to practical design methods and project coordination within the industrial machinery manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with daily tasks and routine assignments.
- Utilize department engineering design and drafting standards.
- Produce estimate-level preliminary designs and material take-offs.
- Prepare calculations, spreadsheets, reports, drawings, and sketches for various projects.
- Assist in resolving routine layout and detailing coordination problems.
- Record and publish meeting notes and action item lists.
- Help develop and maintain personnel plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Science degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 2.7 GPA.
- Working knowledge of CAD software, specifically AutoCAD or Microstation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, codes, and the development of construction or specification documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
