About the role#
Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. is hiring an Industrial Engineering Intern for our Southern Pines, NC facility. This site operates as a returns, refurbishment, and parts distribution center. You will work directly with local management to improve our processes and gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time position for the summer of 2027, with the potential to continue part-time during the school year.
What you'll do#
- Perform time-motion studies.
- Improve production line and work cell balance for product refurbishment.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist with quality control, quality assurance inspections, and testing.
- Build and automate reports and dashboards using tools like Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
- Analyze data to support operational decisions.
- Deliver written and oral presentations to corporate management.
What you'll need#
- Completion of three years of an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree program.
- A major in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Students in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with relevant coursework or experience are encouraged to apply.
