About the role#
This internship provides an inside look at retail operations at the H Mart location in Dallas. You will spend six weeks observing how a store functions, from back-end inventory management to customer interactions. The program runs for six weeks, three days a week, for six hours each day, starting September 8 and ending October 6.
What you'll do#
- Learn store operations policies and professional procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and using tracking tools.
- Monitor expiration dates and check that price labels are accurate.
- Help customers with inquiries and manage loyalty program rewards.
- Arrange grocery items, fresh produce, and specialty goods to maintain store standards.
- Attend department meetings and training sessions.
- Create a summary report or presentation on an operational area to review with management at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Dallas College in Business or a relevant field.
- Familiarity with operational policies and procedures.
- Ability to prepare reports and presentations.
- Customer service skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices.
