About the role#
Greatland is hiring a Desktop Technician Intern or LTE to support users of the Yearli Desktop product. You will assist customers with program walkthroughs, tax form creation, and e-file assistance. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Green Bay. The role runs during the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Respond to inbound and outbound calls and tickets to resolve technical issues.
- Troubleshoot data import errors and guide customers through the resolution process.
- Manage support tickets using SalesForce and Zendesk.
- Install and uninstall software components as needed.
- Document all customer interactions and support requests.
- Research errors and communicate with mid-level support staff for complex issues.
- Complete assigned projects and other duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate Degree or equivalent from a technical school or college.
- Experience with Windows OS (versions 7, 8, 10, and 11), VMWare, remote connections, firewalls, and browser troubleshooting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to users with varying levels of expertise.
- Professional communication skills and a commitment to handling customer information securely.
- Ability to stay calm and effective during periods of high work volume.
- Basic to proficient typing skills and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Standard business hours, with extended hours (8 AM to 7 PM CT) during January.
- Requirements: Must pass a drug screen and background check.
