About the role#
As a Patient Champion, you will conduct structured, phone-based interactions with patients on behalf of our healthcare partners. You will follow evidence-informed protocols to check in on patients, complete assessments, and escalate concerns when necessary. All work is remote and telephonic, meaning there is no video or in-person contact required. You will work with patients regarding preventative care, medication use, and post-discharge follow-up needs.
What you'll do#
- Complete at least 6 hours of patient outreach per week, which is approximately 12 to 18 calls, on a schedule you build around your classes.
- Conduct structured telephonic assessments and wellness check-ins using our platform.
- Document interaction outcomes accurately.
- Escalate patient safety concerns to a licensed clinical supervisor in real time.
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Participate in paid onboarding training and ongoing check-ins.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a healthcare program at a college or university, such as nursing, pharmacy, social work, medical assisting, dietitians, or CNA programs.
- A compatible computer and a cell phone with SMS capabilities.
- A quiet, private workspace free of background noise or distractions.
- Strong verbal communication skills or a desire to develop them.
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment.
- Reliability to work a minimum of 6 hours per week.
- A video submission of two minutes or less explaining your fit for the role and your interest in telephonic care.
