About the role#
We are hiring a Finance Co-op to join our team in Gloucester. This position offers a chance to gain experience in corporate finance and accounting within the consumer goods industry. You will work on-site as a full-time team member.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to either the Customer Finance or Financial Accounting departments.
- Support Customer Finance by managing transactions with retail grocery chains.
- Assist Financial Accounting with tasks like financial reporting, audit, cash management, treasury, cost accounting, and accounts payable.
- Collaborate across functional areas including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Information Technology, and Logistics.
- Develop a broad understanding of finance activities at Gorton's.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. We prefer students who have completed their junior year.
- A clear interest in a career in corporate finance or accounting.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative as a self-starter.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with PC software.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people.
