About the role#
Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP is seeking a 2027 Summer Associate to join the Cyber/Technology Litigation and Insurance practice group in Chicago. This role provides hands-on experience in complex litigation, including cases involving software and technology disputes, cybersecurity incidents, data privacy, and intellectual property. You will work directly with partners and associates on high-stakes matters while gaining exposure to the legal challenges of emerging technologies.
What you'll do#
- Assist in representing leading companies in litigation matters.
- Collaborate with partners and associates on all phases of complex litigation.
- Prepare matters for hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines in a detail-oriented environment.
- Gain practical experience in technology-driven business conflicts.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school with an anticipated J.D. graduation date of May 2028.
- Strong academic credentials with a minimum 3.60 GPA.
- Active membership on a law review or journal.
- Demonstrated interest in litigation, cybersecurity, data privacy, insurance coverage, or technology-related legal issues.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex issues into clear, persuasive written work.
- Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
