About the role#
The People Analytics team uses research to inform business decisions. As a PhD intern, you will join a group of social scientists to conduct experimental, survey, and archival research. You will help us explore topics like leadership, employee well-being, performance management, and decision science.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement new research studies.
- Conduct statistical analysis using survey and archival data, primarily using R.
- Write research briefs to document your work.
- Report findings and provide recommendations to a business audience.
- Influence leaders to take action based on your research results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Personality Psychology, Social Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience designing and conducting survey or experimental research.
- Proficiency in R for statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Experience manipulating data using R, Python, SQL, or other programming languages.
- Ability to write future-proof code with clear documentation.
- Knowledge of statistical methods ranging from fundamentals like T-tests and regressions to advanced approaches like factor analysis, HLM, or SEM.
- Experience conducting applied research in an organizational setting.
- Topical expertise in areas such as performance management, individual differences, selection and assessment, or quantitative text analysis.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 12-week internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is on-site in Mountain View, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, or San Francisco.
- You must be currently attending a degree program in the United States and be located in the US for the duration of the internship.
