The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) co-op specializes in writing code to verify product quality. You will work alongside developers and product managers to understand requirements, design test strategies, and contribute to established automation frameworks. This role involves active participation in the full software development lifecycle to ensure high-quality releases.
What you'll do#
- Define and automate test cases that verify product requirements.
- Write code to support the development of automated frameworks and tests.
- Execute test cases using both automated and manual techniques.
- Identify, report, and verify software defects.
- Participate in team planning and story grooming sessions.
- Maintain test infrastructure and tools, conduct code reviews, and document automation frameworks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or Cybersecurity programs.
- Understanding of core Computer Science subjects and Object Oriented Programming concepts.
- Proficiency in Java, C#, or Swift.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit or MSTest.

- Compensation: $42,000—$56,400 CAD annual base salary.
