The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) co-op specializes in writing code to verify product quality. You will work alongside developers, product managers, and other SDETs to understand requirements, design test strategies, and maintain automated frameworks. This role involves direct interaction with application code to support release efforts and ensure high-quality software delivery.
What you'll do#
- Define and automate test cases to verify product requirements.
- Write code to support the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and infrastructure.
- Execute test cases using both manual and automated techniques.
- Identify, report, and verify software defects.
- Participate in team planning, story grooming, and code reviews to improve automation quality.
- Document automation frameworks, tools, and infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Data Science programs.
- Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Proficiency in Java, C#, or Swift.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or MSTest.
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver.
