About the role#
The Dean of Students Office at Georgia Southern University is seeking a Work Study Student to serve as an Office and Food Pantry Assistant on the Armstrong Campus for the Fall 2026 term. This part-time, on-site role involves a rotating schedule between the Captain's Cupboard food pantry and the main office. You will work up to 14 hours per week, with shifts available Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM.
What you'll do#
- Organize and coordinate operations at the Captain's Cupboard Food Pantry.
- Provide administrative support to the office staff, including assistance with special projects.
- Assist the reception area by answering phone calls and greeting visitors.
- Contribute to office marketing and social media efforts.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in at least six undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
- Confirmed Federal Work-Study eligibility.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and database software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide engaging customer service and support various university constituencies.
- Capacity to adhere to university policies and procedures.
- Organizational and human relations skills.

- Compensation: $12.00 per hour.
