IT Support Intern

About the role#

This full-time internship offers hands-on experience in enterprise IT support operations. You will work on-site in Piscataway, NJ, providing technical assistance to support daily operations in both office and laboratory environments. This role involves collaborating with senior IT staff to deliver end-user services and gain exposure to IT service management (ITSM) practices.

What you'll do#

• Respond to and resolve IT-related inquiries and issues from users in a timely manner.
• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Assist with maintaining IT equipment used within lab environments.
• Support routine audits and equipment verification activities.
• Provide administrative support for IT documentation and process updates.
• Assist with asset management and special IT projects as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Basic knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, Microsoft Office 365, and common business applications.
• Experience with IT troubleshooting tools and remote support software.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts, Active Directory, and IT security best practices is a plus.

Location & details#

• Location: Piscataway, New Jersey.
• Modality: Fully on-site.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
• Compensation: $22 - $23 per hour.
