About the role#
Genesis Global Group is seeking a Product Management and Merchandising Intern for the Spring 2027 term. This position supports the Director of Business Development within our hospitality division. You will work on projects focused on the development, design, and management of retail products for a French bakery. This is an unpaid, for-credit internship that requires daily on-site work in Princeton, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Help conceptualize, brand, manufacture, and merchandise a new line of retail products.
- Research competitor pricing and market trends to assist with strategy.
- Track product inventory and analyze sales reports with the Business Development team to find areas for improvement.
- Create and update a training manual for bakery staff that details product information.
- Work with the Marketing department on product displays, advertising, and branding.
- Plan the retail layout to improve the customer shopping experience and highlight new items.
- Join meetings with international vendors and handle related administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at an accredited college pursuing a degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a similar field.
- Ensure this position qualifies for academic credit with your school before accepting an offer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain detail-oriented.
- Professional demeanor during in-person and phone interactions.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- Chinese language skills are preferred but not required.
