About the role#
The Telecommunications Internship program provides students with hands-on experience in a real-world business environment. Interns work alongside professionals to learn about the telecommunications industry while developing a project aligned with their interests and departmental needs. This is a rolling, on-site, full-time opportunity based in Anchorage, Alaska.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned projects in accordance with directions, timeframes, scope, and budget.
- Produce a well-written project report that outlines steps taken and conclusions reached.
- Maintain a weekly log of activities, including contacts, meetings, and references.
- Meet with a mentor on a weekly basis to review project progress.
- Participate in research, analysis, and report generation while supporting the organization.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment as a high school junior or senior, or as a college student.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Minimum age of 14, with adherence to all Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development regulations.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel), SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Reliability, accountability, and a commitment to attendance.
