About the role#
FWD.us is seeking a Web Intern for the Fall 2026 term to support the External Affairs and Impact Department. This role reports to the Director of Product Management and Insights and focuses on the development and maintenance of web and mobile products. This is a full-time, paid position requiring 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Build and update web pages using Wordpress, including digital tools like forms and data visualizations.
- Support content development for various web components.
- Maintain the website by identifying issues, writing tickets to track solutions, and implementing content updates.
- Collect website performance data and track search trends to assist in writing analytics reports and improving search engine optimization (SEO).
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a college degree or certification in website development, informatics, or a related field.
- Up to one year of experience in a technology, website, or digital role within a non-profit or advocacy organization.
- Experience with Wordpress or similar website builder tools.
- Interest or experience in frontend and backend website development.
- Skills in content management, web data reporting, and UX/UI design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Oakland, California.
- The role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring in-person work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work on Wednesdays and Fridays.
- The internship is full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm PST, for a duration of at least 4 months.
