    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience in the agronomy business. You will work alongside experienced Ag Advisors and industry professionals to gain practical field experience and customer-facing skills. The role covers various areas of our agronomy operations and prepares you for a career in the agriculture industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with local Ag Advisors on agronomic projects and sales initiatives.
    • Identify weeds, insects, and diseases through crop scouting activities.
    • Collect soil and tissue samples and assist with data collection.
    • Build relationships with growers by helping at meetings, field demonstrations, and Answer Plot events.
    • Support on-farm research trials and assist growers with agronomic recommendations.
    • Learn about seed treatment, product handling, and facility operations.
    • Gain exposure to field application processes and aerial operations.
    • Develop an understanding of how our cooperative business units work together.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Systems Technology, or a related field.
    • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout our service territory.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail when collecting and documenting information.
    • Willingness to work in both office and outdoor agricultural settings.

    Location & details#

    • This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
    • The position is based on-site in Nebraska.
    • We do not offer sponsorship for this role.
